Summary

A fieldwalking and metal-detecting survey of part of this field in 2008 recovered a small number of finds including a prehistoric retouched flint flake; a medieval pottery sherd and a medieval jetton. Metal-detecting in 2014/2015 recovered a post-medieval coin.

March-April 2008. Systematic Fieldwalking and Metal-detecting Survey.
Field survey on proposed route of Sheringham Shoals Offshore Windfarm Grid Connection (Field 12).
Finds recovered included:
1 prehistoric retouched flint flake.
1 medieval jetton and 1 pottery sherd.
1 ?post-medieval ?pottery sherd.
1 undatable cast copper alloy vessel fragment and 1 lead unidentified object.
Occasional burnt flints and ceramic building material fragments were also noted but not collected.
