Summary

Work undertaken in 1968 to 1969 to construct the St Crispin flyover roundabout disturbed a number of burials in the graveyard of St Paul's (NHER 378). Subsequent major roadwords disturbed a large number of burials which were examined by the NCM in 1969 and reburied at Bowthorpe.

Burials in graveyard of former St Paul's Church disturbed in roadworks for construction of a roundabout. Dr. Wells reported on female skull and child's jaw, possibly 18th/19th century. Subsequent major roadwords disturbed large number of burials which were examined by NCM in 1969 and reburied at Bowthorpe.
