Summary

Metal-detecting between 2013 and 2024 recovered a medieval pottery sherd; a Roman issue coin of Middle Iron Age date; medieval coins; a post-medieval jetton and a range of other, undated and Late Iron Age/Roman to post-medieval metal objects. These metal finds include undated rolled lead sheet cylindrical net sinkers; a Late Iron Age/Roman brooch; a Roman/Early Saxon toilet article; an Early Saxon buckle; Middle Saxon pins and a brooch; a Middle/Late Saxon hooked tag and pin; a Late Saxon brooch and finger ring; a Late Saxon/medieval finger ring and lead spindle whorl; medieval buckles, strap ends, a mount, brooch, harness mount, dagger scabbard chape, copper alloy stud and copper alloy seal matrix; a medieval/post-medieval rumbler bell and iron whittle-tang knife blade and a post-medieval harness mount and scabbard chape.
