Map

March 2012. Watching Brief.
Excavation of footings for a new bungalow and an associated replacement sewer trench were monitored.
The trenches were a mximum of 0.8m wide by 1.0m deep and revealed a simple deposit sequence formed by natural processes with a high degree of root disturbance across the site. Variations in these deposits were observed in two places within the north-east footing trench, but these were determined to be geological features. No archaeological finds or features were recorded.
See report (S1) for further details.
