Full Description
June-July 2001. Watching Brief.
Observation of trench dug for new electricity cable running between Bacton and North Walsham (Field 29).
No archaeologically significant features or deposits observed.
Unstratified finds recovered included:
1 ?prehistoric burnt flint.
1 Late Saxon pottery sherd.
1 ?Late Saxon pottery sherd.
2 medieval pottery sherds.
1 post-medieval pottery sherd, 1 copper alloy strip, 1 copper alloy button and 1 pewter button.
