Full Description
October 2002-May 2003. Geophysical Survey.
Geophysical survey work undertaken as part of Environmental Impact Assessment of large proposed mineral extraction area. Initial magnetic susceptibility survey of field, followed by targeted magnetometry surveys (Areas 8 and 13).
Area 8:
Series of parallel linear anomalies of probable agricultural origin.
Curving anomalies of uncertain origin.
Large discrete anomaly that may represent pit.
Area 13:
Faint positive linear and curvilinear anomalies present across area - these are probably natural in origin.
Faint southwest-northeast aligned linear anomalies may represent archaeological features.

2 post-medieval/modern copper alloy buttons and 1 copper alloy ball/top.
Various modern metal objects.
1 undatable copper alloy bar, 1 copper alloy disc, 1 lead sheet, 1 lead strip and 4 lead lumps.
