Summary

Metal-detecting in 2015 and 2019 by Elden Tours and others recovered Roman and medieval coins, post-medieval jettons and tokens as well as Early Saxon to post-medieval metal objects. The metal finds include Early Saxon brooches and a girdle hanger; Middle/Late Saxon hooked tags; Late Saxon/medieval socketed hook from a strap distributor; medieval to post-medieval dress accessories and harness mounts; medieval seal matrices, a lead pot mend, harness pendant, an incomplete ampulla, whittle tang knife shoulder bolster and writing lead; medieval/post-medieval buttons, copper alloy vessel fragments, a cloth seal, figurine, and coin weight and post-medieval weights, crotal bell, coin weight, rotary key, hinge from a box or casket, and rowel spur fragment.
