Full Description
November 2014. Watching Brief.
Groundworks for construction of a new outbuilding were monitored.
No archaeological finds or features were recorded during the watching brief. However, the majority of the groundworks did not penetrate below the topsoil and potential features may remain in situ. Cropmarks have previously been observed in this area (NHER 49471), indicating that former field boundaries or drainage ditches may survive as cut features below the topsoil.
See report (S1) for further information.
The archive associated with this work has been deposited with the Norwich Castle Museum (NWHCM : 2017.278).
