Summary

An irregular hollow with a sunken path on the northeast. The hollow was excavated as a quarry for sand and gravel and is shown on a late 19th century map. The sunken path would have provided access to the hollow.

An irregular hollow with a sunken path on the northeast. The hollow measures about 20m by 13m and is up to 1m deep. The path is about 17m long, 13m wide and up to 0.7m deep.
The hollow was excavated as a quarry for sand and gravel and is shown on (S1). The sunken path would have provided access to the hollow.

The post medieval quarry described above is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs (S2) and imagery from a recent lidar survey (S3). It has not been mapped as it falls outside the scope of the project.
