Summary

A fieldwalking and metal-detecting survey undertaken in late 2006 or early 2007 recovered a small number of prehistoric worked flints, a Roman pottery sherd and a range of post-medieval objects.

September 2006-March 2007. Systematic Fieldwalking and Metal-detecting Survey.
Field survey on proposed line of Norwich Northern Distributor Road (Field 72).
Finds recovered included:
Prehistoric worked flints.
1 Roman pottery sherd.
1 post-medieval coin, 1 pottery sherd, 2 ceramic building material fragments and copper and lead objects.
Undatable lead and copper alloy objects.
These finds are plotted in the interim report produced following this work (S1) but for some reason are not included in the final report (S2).
