Summary

Metal-detecting in 2015 and 2017 recovered a medieval pottery sherds, Roman, medieval and post-medieval coins, medieval to post-medieval jettons, as well as undatable and Late Bronze Age to post-medieval metal objects. The metal finds include undatable casting waste; a Late Bronze Age socketed chisel; Roman brooches and a copper alloy vessel handle; an Early Saxon brooch and tweezers; Late Saxon to post-medieval spindle whorls; medieval to post-medieval dress accessories, purse bar fragments and harness mounts; medieval brooches, thimbles, lead pot mends, balance arm fragments, harness mount and a knife end cap; medieval/post-medieval lead weights, copper alloy vessel fragments, copper alloy rings, a dress fastener, and a lead pot mend and post-medieval spurs, a furniture handle back-plate, gold finger ring, copper alloy weight, lead weight and lead cloth seal.
