Summary

Boundary wall of late 15th-century date. This wall formed the eastern boundary of the outer court of Hales Hall, which lay to the west, on the site of a medieval moated hall (NHER 1053).

February 1977. Listed Grade II*.
Boundary wall, late 15th-century, running from the barn to the house with gateway off centre. Red brick with blue brick diapering. Rounded brick coping. Ventilation slits as niches. Forms east side of yard. The gateway was widened this century.
