Summary

Metal-detecting between 2016 and 2024 recovered Roman and medieval to post-medieval coins and a range of other, Bronze Age, Roman and Late Saxon to post-medieval metal objects. These metal finds include a Bronze Age gold identfied ornament or ribbon; a Roman copper alloy spoon and possibly miscast Colchester derivative rearhook brooch; a Late Saxon to post-medieval lead spindle whorl; medieval to post-medieval buckles; a medieval harness pendant, tumbrel or coin balance part, copper alloy and lead seal matrices and lead weight; medieval/post-medieval copper alloy vessel fragments, a dress hook, rowel spur, button and lead weight and a post-medieval sword-belt fitting and clapper bell.
