Summary

Metal-detecting between 2012 and 2015 recovered Neolithic and Neolithic/Bronze Age scrapers; medieval and medieval/post-medieval pottery sherds; Roman and post-medieval coins plus a Middle Saxon coin hoard of fifteen sceattas and undated and medieval to post-medieval metal objects. The metal finds include an undatable unidentified lead object and a medieval/post-medieval buckle, spindle whorl and a spur leather attachment.

The Middle Saxon hoard of 56 silver sceattas recovered in five batches between February 2012 and May 2015 was submitted as potential Treasure (Treasure case 2012 T216) and subsequently acquired by Norwich Castle Museum (NWHCM : 2018.284). The 38 coins recovered between February 2012 and May 2013 are published in (S1).
