Summary

In 1989 fieldwalking at (or near) this location recovered a number of Roman tile fragments. This assemblage included imbrex, tegulae and flue tiles, indicating there was once a reasonably substantial structure in the vicinity.

Found west of St Andrew's Church at approximately [1]:
Roman imbrex, tegulae and flue tile fragments.
Identified by W. Milligan (NCM), see note in file [2]. It is recorded that the site was to be checked, suggesting there may have been a degree of uncertainty regarding the exact location of these finds.
