Summary

The possible low earthworks of two segments of bank, possibly defining a small oval enclosure, may be visible on the 0.5m resolution Lidar data. The date and archaeological significance of these earthworks is uncertain. The interpretation of a Second World War training earthwork would seem to be the most likely, see nearby NHER 61490 for another possible military training site. However it is also possible that it relates to more recent, non-archaeological activity in the plantation.
