Summary

An area of Second World War military training activity is visible as earthworks and disturbed ground on 1940s aerial photographs. It is contemporary with a larger, more intensively used area of military training immediately to the east (NHER 61500). Unlike the latter, the area recorded here has been ploughed and any earthworks levelled.

An area of Second World War military training activity is visible as earthworks and disturbed ground on 1940s aerial photographs (S1-S2). It is contemporary with a larger, more intensively used area of military training immediately to the east (NHER 61500). Unlike the latter, the area recorded here has been ploughed and any earthworks levelled. The features have been mapped only by extent.
