Full Description
March 2017. 'Brecks from Above' and Breckland National Mapping Programme.
A linear boundary, defined by multiple segments of banks and ditches, is visible as earthworks on imagery from a lidar survey flown in 2015 (S1). It follows the former parish boundary between Lynford and West Tofts. It is likely to be post-medieval in date as its alignment, and in places the actual boundary itself, is depicted on 19th-century maps, such as the Tithe Map. An earlier, perhaps medieval origin, however, cannot be ruled out. The record also incorporates two short fragments of perpendicular boundaries on the western side of the main boundary.
