Summary

Linear banks and ditches, perhaps of post-medieval date, are faintly visible as earthworks on aerial photographs and imagery from a recent lidar survey. Their interpretation as archaeological features is uncertain, but they could feasibly represent post-medieval (or earlier) boundaries. Their orientation conforms with boundaries depicted on 19th-century maps.

Map

April 2017. 'Brecks from Above' and Breckland National Mapping Programme.
Linear banks and ditches, perhaps of post-medieval date, are faintly visible as earthworks on aerial photographs (S1) and imagery from a recent lidar survey (S2). Their interpretation as archaeological features is uncertain, but they could feasibly represent post-medieval (or earlier) boundaries. Their orientation is either the same as or perpendicular to a boundary depicted on the Ordnance Survey 1st edition 6 inch map (S3), suggesting they are contemporary.
