Summary

The earthworks of an embanked sub-rectangular pit are visible on the 0.5m resolution Lidar data. The earthworks could relate to a post-medieval and/or modern flint mining shaft or a Second World War emplacement. The fact that it is not within a group of other mine working could suggest the military interpretation is more likely.
