Summary

An area of circular and sub-rectangular mounds and hollows is visible on the 0.5m resolution Lidar data. These features appear to be partly located on top of an area of possible cultivation or plantation ridges (NHER 61987) of possible post-medieval or later date. The interpretation of these earthworks is uncertain, but it is possible that they relate to either post-medieval flint mining, twentieth century military training or twentieth century forestry activity such as clearance mounds.
