Summary

A small, undated, rectilinear enclosure is visible as an earthwork on imagery from a lidar survey flown in 2015. Like many other such features identified in Breckland, and particularly within Thetford Warren (NHER 54069), it may be of medieval or post-medieval date, and related to warrening. It was perhaps used to enclose rabbits or vermin, or to protect forage crops. In this case, the enclosure lies within a much larger rectilinear enclosure (NHER 62114). It is not known whether the two were contemporary, but the larger enclosure may also relate to warrening.
