Summary

This three-storey red brick building dates primarily to the 19th century but incorporates 17th-century elements. It is listed Grade II. The older building to the rear of No 68 is recorded separately as NHER 26129.

1972. Listed Grade II.
Former shop empty at the time of re-survey. 19th-century with 17th-century rear. Red brick and pantile roof. Painted flint/brick rear. Three storeys. Two bays. 20th-century ground floor with off-centre and left-side doors and fascia. Sash windows with glazing bars, simply moulded surround and flat arches.

This building is mentioned in thesis (S3), although the focus of the discussion is the older building to the rear of No 68 (NHER 26219). It is however noted that while No 68 dates primarily to the 19th century there is one 17th-century ground floor ceiling beam.
