Summary

Metal-detecting between 2017 and 2018 recovered Roman and post-medieval coins, post-medieval tokens; and Roman, and Late Saxon to post-medieval metal objects. The metal finds include a Roman brooch and finger ring; Late Saxon to post-medieval and medieval/post-medieval spindle whorls; medieval to post-medieval dress accessories; medieval/post-medieval thimbles and a cloth seal; and a post-medieval unidentified object , thimble, and cuff link.

January-May 2017. Metal-detecting. [1].
Late Saxon to post-medieval spindle whorls.
Medieval/post-medieval thimbles.
2 post-medieval coins and a silver thimble.
Information from PAS import.
The silver thimble was disclaimed as Treasure (Ref: 2017 T1029), and returned to the finder.

Medieval/post-medieval lead spindle whorl or weight.
Post-medieval silver cuff link or button element with a stamped design of two hearts surmounted by a crown. This motif possibly celebrated the marriage of Charles II and Catherine of Braganza in 1662.

The silver cuff link was disclaimed as Treasure (Ref: 2018 T58) and returned to the finder.
