No 27 Bedford Street.
1972. Listed Grade II.
Listing Description excerpt:
"Formerly listed with No 1. Bridewell Alley (itself now 25 Bedford Street). Former use unknown, now shop. 17th-century renovated and partly rebuilt in 20th century. Timber framed. Rendered. Pantile roof. Three storeys. Three bays. Carriage entry at extreme right."

Disasterous fire, which gutted what was then the rear of Hovell's basketware shop.

September 1979. Building Survey.
Building that was then numbered 23-27 Bedford Street examined as part of Norwich Survey.
Three-storied block parallel to street, rear range demolished. Upper storey also demolished prior to inspection.
First floor ceiling framed into re-used 17th-century tie beams.
