May 1972. Building Survey.
Survey by Royal Commission.
No 15 was a two-storey brick building of mid 17th-century date, with two and a half gables on the main elevation. A two-storey rear extension was added soon after it was built and it was largely refitted during the 18th century. A carriage entry with a room above was added in the 19th century.
No 17 was also built in the mid 17th century, soon after No 15 (sharing its eastern gable wall). It was also a two-storey brick building, but also had attics lit by three large dormer windows. A brick wing was added to the back in the 18th century and substantially rebuilt in the 19th century, when the house was completely refitted.
No 19 was a two-storey brick building of early 19th century date. The chimneys were all inserted and the floors were high, suggesting an industrial origin.
See (incomplete) copy of report (S1) for further details.
