Summary

In 1999 metal-detecting in the vicinity of the Hobland Hall recovered medieval and post-medieval coins and a range of other metal objects including a Middle/Late Saxon disc brooch, a medieval lead seal matrix, a medieval/post-medieval mount, a post-medieval coin weight and lead feeder trough and post-medieval and undated lead weights. It appears that the exact provenance of these objects was not known.

Found in area surrounding Hobland Hall:
1 Middle/Late Saxon disc brooch.
1 medieval coin and 1 lead seal matrix.
1 medieval/post-medieval mount.
1 post-medieval coin, 1 coin weight and 1 lead ?bird feeder trough.
1 ?post-medieval lead weight.
2 undated lead weights.
