Summary

A watching brief maintained during the installation of a new water main between 2005 and 2006 recorded a number of potentially archaeologically significant features at this location including probably ditches, a pit and a possible pond. No finds were recovered.

Monitoring of topsoil stripping and trenching for Harleston to Gissing replacement water main.
Several features were observed at this location during the excavation of the pipe trench. These included two ditches, a possible pit and a much larger, flat-based feature interpreted as a pond.
No finds were recovered so the date of these remains was unknown.
