Summary

A watching brief maintained during groundworks at this site in 2017 recorded no archaeologically significant features or deposits. Finds were limited to a single post-medieval pottery sherd and a glass wine bottle.

July-September 2017. Watching Brief.
Monitoring of groundworks associated with residential development.
No archaeologically significant features or deposits were identified. A reasonably thick subsoil layer was however observed suggesting that the site was relatively undisturbed.
Finds were limited to a single post-medieval pottery sherd and a late 19th-century wine bottle, both of which were recovered from topsoil.
