Summary

Trial trenching at this site in 2018 revealed a single, undated ditch running parallel to Mill Road. No finds were recovered during this work.

Evaluation of proposed development site.
An undated north-to-south aligned ditch running parallel to Mill Road was the only feature identified within the three trenches excavated.
There was no evidence for previous disturbance, with geological deposits overlain by up to 1m of subsoil and topsoil.
No unstratified finds were recovered.
