Full Description
May 2017. Watching Brief.
Monitoring of groundworks associated with construction of new residential dwelling and associated detached garage.
The various foundation trenches excavated revealed no archaeologically-significant features or deposits. A subsoil deposit was only present in the area of the detached garage at the western end of the plot. To the east the topsoil lay directly above the silty clay natural.
No finds were recovered.

Monitoring of groundworks associated with construction of new residential dwelling.
No archaeological significant features or deposits were observed. There was clear evidence that the site had been previously truncated, with layers of modern material lying immediately above disturbed natural deposits. This disturbance most likely occurred during the construction of the adjacent dwelling.
No finds were recovered.
