March 2000. Stray Find.
Found at [1] in 'Cargill 14' field:
1 Neolithic flaked flint axehead fragment. Probably reused as an adze or gouge.
Identified by P. Robins (NCM), see description in file and polaroid (S1) [2].

Before 29 September 2000. Metal-detecting.
Found in 'Cargill 14' field at [3] and [4]:
1 Roman coin.
1 post-medieval coin.

Before 5 October 2000. Metal-detecting.
Found at [5] in 'Cargill 14' field during [6]:
1 Middle/Late Saxon strap end.
1 medieval copper alloy finger ring.
Identified by A. Rogerson (NLA), see descriptions in file [2] and polaroids (S1).
A finds bag found with the descriptions of the above objects suggests that a number of other objects had also been recovered in this field, including a 'flint scraper', pottery sherds and a thimble. No descriptions of these items have so far been location.
