Summary

Earthwork bank and ditches of an unknown date are seen on aerial photographs and visualised lidar data. The ditch features may have related to a possible medieval enclosure and drainage; however it is also possible that the ditch features may relate to modern drainage and natural features. The banks at TL 8091 9385 and TL 81061 9369 most likely relate to former post-medieval field boundaries and the large ditch at TL 8113 9366 possibly relates to a modern drain. The majority of the features have been levelled with the bank at TL 8091 9385 and the possible modern drain at TL 8113 9366 still visible on the visualised lidar data. The features are in close proximity to a medieval moated site (NHER 31916) to the west and Lynford Hall Park and Gardens to the east (NHER 30470).
