May 2014-January 2015. Geophysical Survey.
Magnetometer survey on updated proposed line of Norwich Northern Distributor Road (Areas HF12a, HF12b and HF12c).
Two linear anomalies are likely to indicate the position of ditches, both of which can be seen to correspond with lost field boundaries depicted on 19th century maps.
Two dipolar anomalies locate service pipes or buried cables.
All other anomalies were likely to be the result of changes in the underlying geology or the presence of ferrous debris in the topsoil.

August 2020. Trial Trenching.
Evaluation of site of proposed new recycling centre in north-west corner of site (Trenches 7 and 8).
The easternmost of the two trenches excavated revealed a north-to-south ditch that contained several fragments of post-medieval tile. This and an adjacent, parallel (unexcavated) linear feature both clearly relate to a former field boundary and associated trackway shown on the Horsham St Faith and Newton St Faith tithe map of 1841 (S4).
The western trench revealed evidence for significant recent disturbance.
No unstatified finds were recovered.
