Summary

This substantial late 19th century detached brick house was built for Cozens, the proprietor of the Cozens Hotel (NHER 9374).

Map

(S1) describes this as white-painted brick under red tiles. North end gabled to road over single storey canted bay to right of entrance. Left of entrance two single windows on ground floor with one centred between them above and one over entrance. Centred between these an attic dormer with triangular gable. Main windows all segmental headed with heavy dripstones and two light casements bisected towards top. Canted bay has recessed panels above windows. Built for Cozens, proprietor of the Cozens Hotel at end of St John’s Terrace.
