Summary

This detached grey brick two-storey house dates from around 1860 and were built as part of the 19th century suburban development known as Goodwin's Fields.

Map

(S1) describes this as a detached grey brick house of three bays, the outer two bays projecting slightly, with substantial central porch. Two over two pane sashes – original. Hipped slate roof, two chimneys behind ridge. Back of house is red brick. Brick porch painted white. Windows have splayed gauged brick heads. Downstairs righthand window has 'box' across the top, possibly for sunblind, and the same arrangement is visible on window on west side wall. West side has two projecting bay windows, the rear one perhaps a later extension. Iron tie bar at first floor level.
