Summary

This pair of detached grey brick two-storey houses date from around 1860 and were part of the 19th century suburban development known as Goodwin's Fields.

Map

(S1) describes this as a pair of grey brick mid 19th century pair of semi-detached houses. Set back side wings, entrance door in angle. Oversailing eaves. No. 111 has six over six sashes without horns throughout. No. 35 has upstairs two over sash; ditto below in later canted bay with elaborate moulded brick cornice (egg and
dart, grape and vine) painted white. Slightly projecting corners like clasping buttresses form quoins. Front windows project slightly. (S1) likens this pair of villas to an adjacent red brick pair, Nos. 109-110 Tennyson Avenue (NHER 62875).

(S3) suggests this building dates from around 1860.
