(S1) describes this as a red brick chapel with Gothic details: Aisles and transepts and west Narthex. Originally Union Chapel, built 1900 to replace the Former Union Baptist Chapel now Lynn Museum (NHER 35372). Interesting foundation plaque records the inauguration by Mrs B Haigh of Huddersfield; date now eroded.

The architect was Mr J L Carnell and the builder Mr W F Smith, with the work costing under £400. The chapel and school were opened in July 1900.
