Map

(S1) describes this as a detached villa in dark red brick; Flemish bond. In 1982 Mullion and transom casement lattice windows and wood-framed pointed lights in the window: in centre 1st floor over door: all these are now replaced with standard pvc. Stone parapet pierced by crosses over two square bays and rising to shallow point over the entrance; this repeated on the projecting porch, carried on stone brackets. Wide doorway with double doors, flanked by plain pillars with stiffleaf capitals: standing on high bases. Pointed window framed in brick to side wall of porch. Hipped slate roof with stacks either side of ridge. Name in worn stone on brick gate pier. Very ornate but 'square' in design. All dressings stone, no moulded brickwork.
This property is not visible on (S2) or (S3) but it does appear on (S4) so was built sometime between 1886 and 1904.
