Summary

This is the site of a two storey house with a steeply pitched pantiled roof on the north side of St Nicholas' Street. A photograph of 1961 suggests a broadly 18th century date, though its similarity in scale wih the Tudor Rose (NHER 12598) and its neighbour to the east may indicate an earlier origin for this property.

Map

This is the site of a two storey house with a steeply pitched pantiled roof on the north side of St Nicholas' Street, one property away from the extant Tudor Rose (NHER 12598). This building is shown in a photograph taken in 1961 and reproduced in (S1). The property appears to be broadly 18th century in date, though its lack of uniformity and similarity in scale to the Tudor Rose may suggest an earlier date with later façade. This property is rendered but it is assumed that the façade is brick beneath the render.
See (S1) for further information.
It is assumed that this property and its neighbour to the east (NHER 63535) were demolished to make way for Lovell House.
