Summary

This brick wall in the ground in the grounds of Filby House (NHER 8654) dates to the mid 18th century. It is a tall wall with plain piers at intervals and a rounded brick coping.

Listing Description excerpt:
"Garden wall. Mid 18th century. Brick. Tall brick wall laid in Flemish bond extends south from west end of west wing of house. At intervals plain brick piers. Rounded brick coping".

It should also be noted that whilst only one garden wall, running south from the house, is listed (NHER 63729), there are a number of fine 19th-century garden walls.
