Summary

Metal-detecting between 2017 and 2020 recovered a Mesolithic/Neolithic flint chisel; Roman, medieval, and post-medieval pottery sherds; Roman, medieval and post-medieval coins; post-medieval tokens and a range of other, Roman to post-medieval metal objects. These metal finds include Roman brooches, a finger ring, buckle and probable furniture fitting; Roman to post-medieval lead spindle whorls; an Early Saxon cruciform brooch fragment; a Middle/Late Saxon strap end; medieval to post-medieval dress accessories; a medieval mount and harness mount; medieval/post-medieval spurs, a chafing dish fragment and other copper alloy vessel fragments and a post-medieval sword-belt mount, Jew's harp and spoon.
