Summary

This colourwashed brick and flint house has its origins in the mid-16th century. It was renovated in 1967 by local architect Desmond Waite.

House. Mid-16th century origins, much altered since. Restored and further altered in 1967. Rendered and colourwashed brick with plain tile roof. Two storeys and dormer attic.
Interior not inspected but said to contain sunk quadrant bridging beam to ground floor.

Nos 32-36 Bridge Street were scheduled for demolition in the 1960s but were bought and restored by local architect Desmond Waite, a process that altered their appearance as little as possible. Behind their stuccoed fronts they are all mid-16th century, of brick and flint.
