Map

According to (S1) the boundary walls at Mill House (now a veterinary surgery) are built from stone blocks which originally formed part of the East Gate (NHER 64054), which was demolished in 1800. Three of these stones bear inscriptions 'EASTGATE EDWARD III …27-1377' and 'AD 1800' suggesting that shortly after the demolition of the gate, a commemorative record was cut into the surviving wing walls.
