Summary

World War One memorial constructed from limestone, in the form of a freestanding tall Latin cross fleurée. This memorial was erected to commemorate eight local servicemen who died in World War One. The memorial was Listed Grade II in November 2017.

Location: All Saints Churchyard, The Street, Kettlestone.

Description:
The memorial is constructed from limestone, in the form of a freestanding tall Latin cross fleurée. It is used to commemorate eight local servicemen who died in World War One. It is described as “rising from a four-sided, tapering plinth. The plinth has a cap which is gabled to each side with a cornice beneath and stands on a moulded foot. The whole surmounts a three-stepped base” (S1). There is an inscription and names on the plinth, in incised lettering. The inscription is on the south face, and the eight names, along with their date of death, are on the east and west faces.
