Summary

This ropewalk ran along what is now the Broad Walk from London Road towards Guanock Gate. It was first mentioned by inference in 1586 and again in 1642, and it appears on a drawing dating from 1670.

(S1) reports that this ropewalk ran along what is now the Broad Walk from London Road towards Guanock Gate. It was first mentioned by inference in 1586 and again in 1642. A drawing of St James' Chapel dating from around 1670 which shows the position of this ropewalk.
