Full Description
December 2019 and September 2020. Metal-detecting. [1].
Found within small area:
Roman coin hoard comprising 14 copper alloy nummi of the House of Constantine.
These coins all date to the period AD 330-335 and therefore clearly represent a dispersed hoard or purse loss. Loss or deposition will have occurred not long after as these coin types were demonetised in AD 348.
Information from PAS import.
This coin hoard was disclaimed as Treasure (Ref: 2020 T919) and returned to the finder.
