Summary

An undated, possibly post medieval bank was identified on aerial photographs. Like more extensive banks to its west and east (NHER 27150 and 27155 respectively), it may have been part of a post medieval sea defence. It may also correspond with a dashed boundary depicted on the Ordnance Survey 1st edition 6 inch map. The condition of the site is not known.

Map

April 2020. National Mapping Programme (NMP) Data Clean-Up.
This site was mapped from aerial photographs as part of the Norfolk Coastal Zone NMP project, but not recorded. This record was written more than 10 years later, without access to the original sources, and therefore the information that can be included is limited, and the interpretation is more tentative than it might be otherwise.
An undated bank was identified on aerial photographs. The form of the site (earthwork or cropmark, for example) and the specific photos it was visible on are not known. Like more extensive banks to its west and east (NHER 27150 and 27155 respectively), it may have been part of a post medieval sea defence. It may also correspond with a dashed boundary depicted on the Ordnance Survey 1st edition 6 inch map (S1). The current condition of the site is not known.
