Map

September 2017. Geophysical Survey.
Magnetometer survey of proposed development site (Area 1).
No anomalies of clear archaeological origin were identified. Although several linear anomalies and trends were identified these exhibited only a very weak contrast from the surrounding material and were most likely of agricultural or natural origin.
There was therefore no obviously evidence for subsurface remains associated the parallel linear cropmarks previously identified in this field (NHER 39113). It was however noted when these cropmarks were first recorded that they were potentially agricultural, rather than archaeological in origin.
See report (S1) for further details.

October 2017. Desk-based Assessment.
Assessment of proposed development site.
This study suggested that the site may have an enhanced potential for Bronze Age and medieval features. An examination of historic maps suggests that the majority of the site remained as agricultural land throughout the post-medieval and modern periods. No features of note were identified during a site visit.
See report (S2) for further details.
