World War One Memorial
Location: All Saints Churchyard, Church Road, Wacton Magna.

Description:
The memorial is constructed from marble, in the form of a freestanding obelisk. It is used to commemorate ten servicemen who died in World War One. It has been described as “set on a two-tiered plinth… The upper edge of the plinth's top tier is moulded, whilst that to the lower tier carries a simple chamfer” (S1). This is enclosed by chain linked marble posts with two small urns “to the front of the enclosure, set either side of the approach” (S1). There is an inscription on the top tier in leaded lettering.

Unveiled: Assumed planned and erected around 1920, when the majority of Norfolk’s war memorials were commissioned. Additional research required.
